This pre-season program was crafted with an incredible team to offer you the most effective, well-rounded training to level up your game.
A little about me—I’ve spent 12 years playing at the elite level, pushing through injuries, setbacks, and the highs and lows of selection. Those experiences shaped my mindset: failure is just a step toward success, and every opportunity deserves my full heart and energy. Gratitude has always been at the core of what I do, and I never want to take a single day for granted.
After going through two ACL reconstructions, I embraced my rehab like a “fitness challenge.” It taught me that, just like a tree, the real strength lies in the roots—deep, grounded, and resilient. That mindset has carried me through the toughest moments. My daily routine keeps me grounded, reminding me to have fun, breathe through the challenges, and be present with my beautiful daughter and my team.
This challenge is my way of going back to those early years, rediscovering what my body is capable of, and now I’m inviting YOU to experience that same transformation. Every step, every session, I’ll be right there with you.

We know what you’re thinking… “I’m ready to dive into this program, but where do I even start?”
Don’t worry! At NETFIT, we’ve got you covered with the perfect Get Started Guide to help you kick off your 9-week journey with confidence. Here’s how to hit the ground running (literally)!
Tip 1: Plan your week and understand the program commitments.
We’ve put together an ideal weekly plan, outlining the best days to tackle your workouts. Keeping a diary will help you stay on track, measure your progress, and keep tabs on your recovery and overall health. It’s all about being intentional with your training, reflecting on what’s working, and making adjustments along the way. The more organised you are, the better you’ll feel when you start crushing those goals!
Tip 2: First things first… Shoes!
Before anything else, make sure you’ve got a good pair of running shoes that fit like a glove and give you the support you need. The right footwear can make all the difference in preventing injuries and improving your performance. The shape of your foot and how you move will determine the best shoe for you, so it’s worth getting fitted by a professional!

Tip 3: Get your equipment ready.
In this program, we’ll be lifting—and we mean it! Below, you’ll find a list of the simple equipment you’ll need. Whether you’re setting up at home or heading to your local gym, make sure you’ve got everything ready to go. It’s time to step up your strength game!
Tip 4: Find your ‘why.’
At NETFIT, we always emphasise the importance of finding your ‘why’—your deeper reason for committing to any challenge or season. And here’s a key tip: your ‘why’ shouldn’t be tied to how you look. For Sarah, her ‘why’ is mental health. Training keeps her calm, happy, and focused on being the best mum possible. Her goal? Keeping her body feeling and moving like an elite netballer, because you never know when opportunity will come knocking!
Throughout this challenge, we’ve included MINDTIME Journaling to help you stay purposeful with your training. Each week, we’ll focus on mantras to keep you grounded, self-aware, and motivated for the season ahead.
Tip 5: The Fitness Test
Since day one at NETFIT, we’ve made fitness testing a core part of our pre-season programs—just like you’d expect at most netball clubs at higher levels. But here’s the catch: we’re flipping the script! The fitness test isn’t about comparing yourself to others; it’s about embracing where you are and using it as a personal baseline to improve.
You’ll track your score based on how long it takes to complete a series of efforts and exercises. Write it down in your journal, and if you’re feeling brave, share your score with the NETFIT community. You’d be surprised who you might inspire and the connections you’ll make along the way!
