My world has unconditionally changed… for the better. Since bringing in a new life into the world, it is safe to say my old life has been flipped upside down and my new world I am still learning to navigate every day.
“Baby Copeland” has been one of the coolest experiences to go through but with Trent being away for commentary over the summer & not much sleep involved in the first few months in particular, there are many things I have made sure I have kept within my routine including my skincare regime. It has been important for me to find my “me time” throughout my day.
My 3 “me time” rituals:
- Twice a day…EVERY DAY
I have always had non negotiables in my daily routines and one of those is making sure I give love to my skin care, at least twice a day. Even more so with the lack of sleep & energy, I want my skin to at least feel a little spark throughout the day- I call this my “me” time. The time I give back to myself to feel good from the inside out. My QV Face Moisturising Day Cream feels so smooth and hydrating on my skin, and helps me start my day looking fresh and feeling great.
- Water is key
As an elite athlete for most of my life, I know how important hydration is for keeping up performances. It is no different for your skincare routine. Getting into the habit of drinking water consistently throughout the day, helps my skin to regain some of my glow whilst also keeping my hormones in check. I will drink at least 3 litres of water a day & mix it up with a little jazz of Sparkling water.
- Get out and about… when you can!
With tired puffy eyes and lack of normality, I always find getting my body moving is an important part of being ME! I make sure I get out at least once a day with Bub in pram and get my daily movement in, even if it is 15 minutes. By doing this, it helps remind me to always keep giving back to my body no matter how busy I get. I like to walk/run outside and take in some of the fresh air and I ALWAYS pair my exercise with my sun protection.
