NETFIT launches all new schools program
NETFIT Netball launches new digital sports resource for schools.
NETFIT Netball has reinforced its commitment to growing the game of Netball across Australia with the launch of its online curriculum resource for primary and secondary school-aged classrooms. The NETFIT Schools program available at https://netfitnetball.com/shop/ or on The NETFIT App with video aids will make physical netball activities more accessible and easier to deliver, whilst increasing classroom-based educational outcomes with a collection of online resources.
NETFIT Netball CEO, former elite netballer and qualified school teacher, Sarah Wall is excited to launch the program and provide students and teachers with an opportunity to connect with the game. “Our new schools’ program is Australia’s first ever high-quality, netball curriculum-aligned experience for teachers and schools to ensure that they are well supported to teach and grow the game we love. We want to take the stress out of session planning and skill progression with the two interrelated strands—Personal, Social and Community Health, Movement and Physical Activity.”
Wall has been developing this program for the past 10 months, with the disruption caused by the pandemic only heightening the importance of supporting teachers and schools to help get their students physically active and become passionate about sports. “Being a teacher, I have seen the positive impact that the game has had on students and I’m confident that our new offering will provide a great foundation to further engage students with our great game”.
With over 800 videos and session plans on the NETFIT App, the team has created their online fitness and coaching videos to align with the Australian Curriculum, assisting time-poor teachers with engaging, quality programs for students from Prep to Year 10. Each curriculum booklet contains Progression coaching skills, Classroom fitness, Well-being lessons, Mindful movement, Nutrition knowledge and Rhythmic & Movement, making it easy to save and collect NETFIT lesson plans in your teacher rehouse folders.
Available either online or through the App, the program features 85 new lessons, comprising both video and written session plans, providing accessible ways for teachers to understand the programs. With in-class and on-court resources, giving our educators everything they need to deliver lessons and refer back to progress. With developmental steps for each skill, teachers and students don’t need to be familiar with the game of Netball to use and benefit from the program.
